Greetings we are getting closer. (Important Information about your flasks)
over 4 years ago – Mon, Dec 16, 2019 at 07:38:05 PM

Hello everyone I hope you are enjoying the Holidays. The first shipment of flasks has made it to the US and is currently clearing customs. Due to weather, testing, and it being peak shipping season we are unsure if the flasks will ship out on the 18 or not. We should have more information soon. For those who were planning on having these sent out as Christmas gifts we have made a card for you to print off.

 Christmas Card Link

We also received a sample from the leather batch and it looks like the front and back cover are lighter than expected. Although it still looks great we just wanted to allow people to wait another month to get darker leather if they want. Here is the photo from the first batch of leather flasks. If you like it you do not have to do anything you will be the first to get the leather flasks.

If you prefer the darker leather front and back please fill out the google form below with your name and email as it appears on Backerkit. If you ordered multiple flasks we will not be able to send you mixed batch so if you choose darker they will all be sent darker. Please fill out information by clicking on the link below.

 Dark leather opt-in

Finally we will be locking addresses soon. Use this link to make any final changes to your addresses. You can also use this to figure out which email you used with backerkit if you are unsure.

Dear Backers,

More information about our flasks! Our first shipment will arrive at our U.S. fulfillment center December 17th. We are not 100 percent sure everyone will get the flasks before Christmas so there will be a cool downloadable gift card printout for those flasks that are Christmas gifts. The print out will be available on the next update. Shipments to Europe have also been set up and we will let you know when we have exact dates for the Europe fulfillment. Expect another update after Thanksgiving with more exact details about fulfillment for everyone. Thank you all for your patience and rest assured knowing that it will pay off in the quality of the product.  We're very excited to get flasks into everyone's hands!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Conor & David

Flasks Update October
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 10, 2019 at 07:06:50 PM

Hello Backers,

We have been hard at work making the modern glass flask a reality. We have some photos of the first flasks off the production line to share with you and also some news on shipping. First off,  we projected the flasks to be shipped by October but we're going to be a little late.  The problem with the neck of the flask tilting has been fixed and the lids are looking and fitting great.  However, it's a lot of manual labor to attach the leather to the flasks, and our manufacturing partner underestimated how long it would take. But do not fear, we are on track to finish all the flasks towards the end of October and will be shipping in November or early December. We apologize for not having an exact date yet, but we will keep you up to date as production progresses.

We are excited to say that we are very happy with how the production samples look and feel! The corks have also been upgraded, and the new silicone seals work great. We think everyone will be happy with the changes that were made to improve the product before shipping.

For all the orders in Europe, we have be working on becoming VAT registered in the EU so that we can pay the import duties on the flasks. We are well on our way, and hope this makes for a smooth experience for our EU backers.

Everyone, please make sure you have updated your addresses before the beginning of November. Also, 5% of backers have not filled out the survey please do so in order to receive your flask.

If you need to review your address information, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://ragproper.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support. If you need assistance with anything related to your order please contact support at https://ragproper.backerkit.com/faq.

Thank you for your patience. We truly appreciate all of you for helping us turn this project into a reality. Please check out the photos below of the final production models, we think you will enjoy them.

Thanks

Update on delivery
over 4 years ago – Wed, Sep 04, 2019 at 03:02:34 AM

Unfortunately we have had a hiccup in our flask production. The Single Shot glass flasks had an issue with the glass neck tilting to one side during production, but we luckily noticed the issue with the samples. The factory was able to fix the issue and they are remaking the glass now. However, the bigger problem is with the lids which no longer fit the flask.  We are going to have to eat the cost and time of remaking the lid mold so that it ensures a tight seal. This is pushing us back on shipping 30 or so days. We apologize we can't get them out sooner, but delivering a quality product is our top priority.

We have some news regarding the size of the Single Shot flask. Due to the nature of how the flasks are made, there is a variation in the volume between flasks of  ~10 mL depending on the glass thickness of the glass. Additionally, most people won't fill the neck of the flask all the way to the top. Taking these two things into consideration, we've decided to label all the Single Shot flasks 100 mL as it is the most accurate representation of its volume. We have not actually changed the size of the flask. If you fill your spirit to the top of the flask it will measure around 3.4 oz (100 ml) if you fill the neck you will get around 4 oz.  We have not changed the size at all just the labeling.
